Avnet Integrated adds low-power SMARC 2.0 module
SMARC 2.0 modules from Avnet Integrated now include the MSC SM2S-IMX6ULL SMARC 2.0 module, based on the i.MX6 ULL/ULZ processor.
The lMSC SM2S-IMX6ULL module integrates the NXP i.MX 6ULL or i.MX 6ULZ low-power processor with a single Arm Cortex-A7 core operating at speeds of up to 900MHz.
The module family can be used for applications such as entry-level solutions for human machine interface (HMI) systems, IoT gateways, IoT applications, building automation systems and industrial controllers.
Avnet Integrated supports rapid development and system integration with development tools, such as starter kits and board support packages and services. All innovative embedded modules are manufactured by Avnet Integrated in its fully-automated manufacturing facilities in Germany.
The MSC SM2S-IMX6ULL low-power SMARC 2.0 module family can be equipped with an i.MX 6ULL Arm Cortex-A7 Base (528MHz), General Purpose 1 (528MHz) or General Purpose 2 (528/792/900 MHz) as well as i.MX 6ULZ Arm Cortex-A7 Base (528MHz) processor from NXP. An on-board pixel processing engine enables processing of 2D images. A display can be controlled via an LVDS interface.
The module family offers up to 1Gbyte DDR3L-800 SDRAM and optionally up to 64Gbyte eMMC Flash for program and data storage. For applications with increased demand for security, a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 can be optionally equipped.
The range of interfaces typical for industrial applications includes one USB 2.0 Host/Client, four USB 2.0 Host, two 10/100 Mbit Ethernet, one MMC/SD/SDI, two CAN, I²S audio, UART, SPI, and I²C. The board is optionally equipped with a WLAN/Bluetooth module.
The 82 x 50mm processor modules are designed for operation in the full industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C and are compatible with Avnet Integrated’s SimpleFlex platform.
