BEC Distribution offers LinkCom transformer range

Transformer products designed to international safety and emission standards and which are RoS-compliant by LinkCom are now available from BEC Distribution.

LinkCom’s products are part of the BEC Select range of quality passives, offering a range of standard parts (including IC approved parts), customised parts and cost-effective alternatives, with very competitive lead times.

LinkCom offers a wide range of balun transformers for impedance matching which are also suitable for DOCSIS3.0, DOCSIS3.1 and beyond, for use in broadband equipment.

HomePlug is the PLC standard of Qualcomm. LinkCom’s HomePlug transformers are used in networking equipment as well as in EV charging applications. LinkCom also offers a wide range of other PLC and G.hn transformers. LinkCom works with chip vendors for HomePlug, G.hn, G3-PLC4 and has IC approval from several chip companies.

LinkCom gate drive transformers are used in a switching mode power supply (SMPS) to control the on / off timing of semiconductors. The transformers offer high efficiency and low loss characteristics, said BEC Distribution.

LinkCom also offers customised parts, including modified LinkCom standard parts, in addition to fully customised parts. “Cross parts” for the substitution of competitor parts are also offered. This applies to situations where a customer needs a replacement for a competitor part for various reasons (e.g., end of life, price or supply issues).

Another major market for the company’s portfolio is wireless charging coils for mobile phones as well as in automotive design where they can be used in vehicle dashboards. Qi2.0 certification of LinkCom’s products is imminent, said the company.

LinkCom product ranges include magnetics, telecoms, LAN, xDSL, gfast, Ghn, PLC HomePlug, Balun and voiceband transformers, CMC power magnetics, conventional power, planar, LLC tank and PoE transformers. EMI / RFI filters and automotive magnetics for onboard chargers and battery management systems, charging station components and wireless charging coils.

LinkCom was established in 1988, to design and manufacture magnetics products. Many of LinkCom’s magnetics are mentioned on the bill of materials of IC companies such as Silicon Labs (PoE), Texas Instruments (PoE), Broadcom, Qualcomm, Intel, Realtek and Max Linear (all xDSL).

BEC is also a franchised distributor of terminal blocks, connectors, resistors, inductors, coils, chokes, and power supplies.
