Boards with quad DACs have fast data rates for signal capture/analysis
Integrated systems and embedded boards manufacturer, VadaTech, announces two boards, both with quad DAC at up to 12Gsamples per second.
The AMC598 and VPX598 both provide quad ADC with sample rates of up to 3Gsamples per second (AD9208) at 14bits and a quad DAC (Analog Devices AD9162 or AD9164) with update rates of up to 12Gsamples per second and direct RF synthesis at 6Gsamples per second,16bits. The boards are suitable for signal capture/analysis applications such as COMINT/SIGINT, radar, research and instrumentation.
The boards have an on-board, re-configurable Xilinx UltraScale XCKU115 FPGA which interfaces directly to the ADC/DAC. The FPGA has an interface to three banks of DDR4 memory channels (dual 64bit wide and a single bank of 32bit for a total of 20Gbytes). This allows for large buffer sizes to be stored during processing as well as for queuing the data to the host.
The AMC598 is an 8HP panel size (it will occupy two mid-size slots in a chassis).
The VPX598 routes eight high speed SerDes to the P1 that could be configured as PCIe/SRIO/10GbE/Aurora, and eight high speed SerDes to P2 that could be configured for SRIO/10GbE/Aurora. The module has a dedicated, on-board health management CPU which complies with the OpenVPX standard.
The unit is available in a range of temperature and shock/vibration specifications per ANSI/VITA 47, up to v3 and OS2.
