Brightworks unveils board-mount AC/DC power supplies at APEC

At APEC (19 to 23 March) in Orlando, Florida, Brightworks Technology will introduce the GSK internal power supply family as part of its ongoing initiative to meet the demanding power requirements of industrial and consumer applications.

The GSK family of miniature open-frame board mount power supplies features a wide universal input range of 85 to 305V AC and delivers 20W of output power.

The series includes four initial models featuring a precise regulated single output voltage selection of 5.0, 12, 24 or 48V DC. The open frame unit is 1.93 x 0.94 inches (49 x 23.8mm) inches and 0.91 inches (23.1mm) high.

Efficiency is up to 85 per cent and extremely low no-load power consumption of less than 0.1W mean that the GSK models meet global low power consumption standards. They also feature Class II isolation design and incorporate built-in EMI filtering ensuring compliance with FCC and EN55032 Class B. EMC characteristics protect end-use electronics from EMI.

The GSK power supplies can be used for powering industrial tools, measurement instruments, industrial automation equipment, handheld household devices, gaming consoles, and other portable equipment.

The board-mount devices are also available in an encapsulated version for demanding industrial applications.

The four models in the GSK family have a wide operating temperature range of -30 to +70 degrees C.

The also have over temperature, over-voltage and overload protection.

Samples of the GSK models are available now upon request, with production in eight to 12 weeks after receipt of order.

The new power supply family will be on display during APEC 2023 in Brightworks’ APEC stand number 108.
