Capacitive incremental encoder supports shafts up to 15.875mm
Adding the AMT13 series to the AMT incremental encoder family, CUI has based the latest encoders on its proprietary capacitive ASIC technology. The AMT13 series supports larger motor shaft sizes from 9.0 to 15.875mm (0.354 to 5/8-inch).
The AMT13 series brings the same high levels of durability, accuracy, and immunity to environmental particulates as current AMT encoder models, says CUI for robotics, industrial, and automation applications. The series offers 22 programmable resolutions from 48 to 4096 PPR, CMOS voltage or differential line driver outputs, and low current consumption of 16mA at 5.0V.
Available in radial or axial orientations, the AMT13 incremental encoder is housed in a compact 42.3 x 42.3 x 13.5mm package and carries a wide -40 to +125 degrees C operating temperature range.
It is compatible with CUI’s AMT Viewpoint software which makes the AMT13 encoder customisable and able to easily configure the resolution and set the zero position, explains CUI.
The AMT13-V kit affords users further flexibility in their design with the inclusion of nine sleeve bore options from 9.0mm to 5/8-inch and simple mounting tools to assist in the easy installation process onto a motor.
The AMT13 series is available immediately.
