Childsplay smart watch doubles storage space

Xplora Technologies has introduced its first in-house developed smartwatch, the X6Play. It won the 2023 CES Best Innovation Award in the wearable technology category.

The X6Play offers true personalisation and integrates with Xplora’s premium services. Initially available in black, the X6Play comes with a pink and green bezel and loop in each box, but other accessories packs can be purchased to customise the watch.  Pink and blue versions will be introduced soon, said Xplora. The smartwatch can also be personalised with accessories, watch faces and ringtones.

The X6Play has been designed with enhanced features compared with the company’s existing smartwatches range. According to Xplora it has better battery performance, higher resolution camera, a larger screen, improved speaker and sound and double the storage space. The smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm 2500 chipset, runs on Android operating system, has a crisp and clear 1.52 inch, 360 x 400 TFT screen and boasts a 5Mpixel camera. The X6Play will be made available as both e-SIM and Nano-SIM versions.

The X6Play encourages children to stay active, with a step counter and the award-winning Goplay platform with games and rewards to be earned. Working with major film and TV companies such as Paramount, Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and Netflix with past campaigns including Space Jam and Tom and Jerry, wearers can learn about rare species from around the world on the Zoo World or join the global movement for a sustainable world on the Net Zero campaign. Xplora also runs regular competitions and offers prizes for topping the leader board.

The new packaging is made of nearly 100 per cent recycled content. The company has also achieved a volume reduction of more than 40 per cent and weight reduction of more than 20 per cent with the new packaging, reducing transportation costs.

The watch comes with an Xplora 4G SIM card which is already placed in the watch so it can be used immediately.
