Components Bureau adds Cosel’s AEA600F medical power supplies
For high safety levels in medical applications, the Cosel AEA600F is a series of AC/DC power supplies which offer 300 per cent peak power. The 600W AEA600F offers three output voltages, namely 24, 36 and 48V, with current ratings of 25, 16.7 and 12.5A, respectively. Output voltage can be adjusted using a built-in potentiometer.
The AEA600F is able to deliver 300 per cent peak power for a period of up to 1,000 milliseconds. The AEA600F is suitable for body floating (BF) applications and complies with 2x means of patient protection (MOPP) and 1x MOPP safety requirement.
The AEA600F is certified to the EN62477-1 Over Voltage Category Three (OVC III), meaning that a final equipment powered by the products can be directly connected to the main distribution panel without adding an extra level of isolation. This simplifies the systems designer’s task, reduces costs and guarantees the highest level of efficiency, says Component Bureau.
The AEA600F uses active power factor corrector (PFC), and the switching stage uses an LLC resonant topology offering efficiency of up to 95 per cent.
For additional power, the AEA600F can be connected in parallel, up to six units. When in parallel, by adjusting the output voltage on the master unit, slaves neatly automatically adjust their output voltage to be of equal value.
The power supply is optimised for convection cooling and can be operated within an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees C.
The open frame AEA600F measures 41 x 127 x 186mm (1.61 x 5 x 7.32 inches) and weighs 1kg maximum.
Established in 1985, Components Bureau was acquired by Display Technology, the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik in 2018.
Components Bureau can offer AC/DC power supplies and DC/DC converters from leading brands.
The company is a dedicated specialist of power related components and converters who understand their customers and their project requirements. An extensive stock holding is available from the central Frankfurt hub and the UK headquarters.
