Conductive polymer-aluminum-electrolytic capacitors have low ESR

Designed for use in demanding applications, Panasonic Industry Europe introduces the GY SP-Cap conductive polymer-aluminum-electrolytic capacitors.

The long-life surface mount type capacitor series expands to its industry-leading product line of conductive polymer-aluminum-electrolytic capacitors. The GY capacitors are available with a rated voltage of 2.0 or 2.5V DC, and capacitance values from 680 to 820 micro Farads and a very low ESR characteristics of 3mOhm maximum, which, the company claims distinguishes it from others in the market today.

The capacitors are able to withstand +105 degrees C for up to 2.000 hours. In addition, the high ripple current of only 10,200 mA rms maximum, makes the GY capacitor series suitable for power circuits in servers, base stations as well as further industrial applications.

As with all SP-Cap range capacitors, says Panasonic Industry Europe, the GY series devices feature excellent noise reduction capability and frequency characteristics, a long life span and their ESR values have little change even at low temperatures since the electrolyte is solid.

The components are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.
