Danisense reduces size of its fluxgate technology, current transducer

The latest current sense transducer from Danisense is a stable, high precision (ppm class) transducer, based on its fluxgate, closed loop compensated technology.

The DT series of current transducers for isolated DC and AC current measurement up to 200A rms represent a reduction in size, compared to the previous generation, with 60 per cent less volume in a transducer that features a frequency bandwidth of up to 2MHz and a primary current of ranging from 50 to 200A.

Fluxgate closed loop compensated technology with fixed excitation frequency and second harmonic zero flux detection are claimed to deliver best in class accuracy and stability. Linearity is better than two parts per million (ppm). The transducer is equipped with an industry standard DSUB nine-pin connection, a green diode for normal operation indication and a large aperture with a diameter of 20.7mm for cables and bus bars.

The DT series current transducers can be used in high precision power supplies for laboratories, accelerators and medical equipment where power supplies are required to be smaller with each iteration to increase power density and reduce costs. Size is also very important for the embedded power measurement application for cars where placing the transducers in a compact motor and inverters environment is a challenge due to the limited available space.

By combining complex magnetic performance with advanced electronics, Danisense provides efficient and precise transducers for customers in demanding industries around the world.

Danisense was founded in 2012 and is based in Denmark and Japan. The company can create high precision current transducers that enable its customers to quickly and easy measure AC and DC currents with accuracies down to one ppm. According to the company, its products have an extremely flat frequency response and outstanding DC stability.
