DDR5 memory modules are industrial grade

Memory IC, DRAM module and flash memory specialist distributor, Memphis Electronic, has introduced a family of DDR5 memory modules in commercial and industrial temperature ranges.

With artificial intelligence and IoT applications becoming ubiquitous, the need for high speed, high capacity memory in industrial applications is increasing rapidly, explained Memphis. In response, the company has configured DDR5 modules with 16 and 32Gbyte capacities and a clocking frequency of 5600MHz. The modules are based on Samsung’s DDR5 chipsets and are supplied in SO-DIMM and UDIMM form factors with and without error correction code (ECC).

The company has always configured industrial grade memory modules to support extended product life cycles or deliver reliable, high performing memory for industrial PCs and embedded applications, explained its managing director, Marco Mezger. “Working with Samsung, we are now able to deliver modules based on the newest DRAM generation,” he added.

In order to deliver a consistently stable quality, Memphis develops its own PCBs and can ensure that its JEDEC standardised modules have a fixed bill of materials over their entire lifespan.

Samples of the DDR5 memory modules will be available in late Q4. Visitors to electronica in Munich (15 to 18 November) can see them on display at the Memphis stand, Hall B4-439.

Memphis Electronic is a specialised distributor for memory ICs, DRAM odules and NAND flash memory.
