Desktop gaming memory uses aluminium enclosure for thermal performance
Memory supplier, PNY Technologies offers the XLR8 Gaming REV RGB DDR4 overclocked desktop memory at frequency speeds of 3,200 and 3,600MHz. It is the latest addition to the XLR8 PC memories for gaming PCs.
The memory features aggressive overclocking and uses chips from Micron, Samsung and SK Hynix. It is also equipped with pre-configured XMP 2.0 profiles for automatic and consistent overclocking.
The XLR8 is encased in a geometric aluminium heat spreader which protects the sensitive components on the modules during installation, said PNY, and aids in heat dissipation during gaming, video editing, and other memory-intensive work.
The XLR8 Gaming REV RGB series DDR4 modules feature customisable RGB illumination and a gloss finish on the faceted side panels to reflect the ambient lighting in the case as well as the lighting from the module’s spine. Users can configure the lighting on the modules with a choice of motherboard RGB control software from major motherboard brands. The modules are compatible with and are ready-to-sync with Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome Sync1.
