Digi-Key signs global agreement with GCT Connectors
Distributor Digi-Key Electronics is now an authorised distributor for Global Connector Technology (GCT). The connector specialist has added its portfolio to the library of components offered by Digi-Key, including its USB, SIM and memory card connectors and the SIM8060 hinged nano SIM connector with card detection and the USB4085 Power focused Type-C connector.
Standard and custom interconnect products will be available. David Stein, vice president, global supplier management at Digi-Key, said that GCT’s “…wide range of PCB interconnect products and experience working with custom designs will be of great benefit to the engineering and design community we serve”.
All GCT products are supported by a set of resources such as 3D models, PCB footprints and specification sheets.
GCT (Global Connector Technology) was established in 1988. It manufactures standard and custom interconnect and cable assembly products for the industrial, consumer and medical markets.
The company has facilities in Europe, USA and Asia, with production facilities located in China, supported by a dedicated engineering team in Hong Kong.
GCT is an ISO9001-approved organisation and its products are RoHS- and Reach-compliant.
