Display Technology adds night vision systems to military portfolio

Night vision imaging system displays from Taiwanese manufacturer, Litemax, are available from Display Technology.

The displays in the company’s military portfolio have a night vision imaging system (NVIS) cap filter on the LED backlight, which enables both day mode (50 per cent brightness off) and night mode operation.

The NVIS cap filter also operates at lower temperature / power consumption, which results in increased reliability / MTBF hours, says Display Technology.

The display sizes currently available are 8.4, 15.6 and 18.5 inch”. It is possible to tool other sizes at a nominal non recurring engineering (NRE) charge.

Additional features include a resistive touch option, a digital light sensor, RS232 cable and VR cable.

Established in 1996 as Display Solutions, later acquired by Display Technology, the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik, Display Technology specialises in displays, touch screens and embedded computing. It offers support at every stage of the process, from initial consultation through to sample design, volume manufacturing and immediate-response after-sales support. The company operates in the UK, across all embedded computing market sectors, including industrial instrumentation and control, transportation, retail / point of sale, outdoor signage, medical, marine, audio and lighting control and energy management.
