Display Technology stocks customised rail power from Autronic

In rail power, one size does not fit all, said Display Technology, which now stocks power supplies by Autronic which can be tailored to a specific application.

The range of products from Autronic includes AC or DC power supplies as well as on-grid or off-grid power, or something in between, said the company.

The manufacturer has experience in finely tuning DC/DC converters to meet design requirements. This can be from a black box working in extreme temperatures to getting the maximum flow for your air conditioning system. All of its DC/DC converters have high efficiency with a wide temperature range, said Display Technology.

At full load, they provide a minimum of 10 milliseconds hold up time and operate continuously. The systems may be programmed to switch to back up power seamlessly and without disruption in the case of a power outage.

There is also a range of DC/DC converters that are specifically designed for the railway industry. These have a wide input voltage range and can start up in cold climates as low as -40 degrees C.

Autronic includes an internal chip with a customer serial number as a standard feature to make sure every device supplied can be tracked.

Engineers are available to work with customers to design and develop a power solution that meets specific requirements.

Established in 1996 as Display Solutions, later acquired by Display Technology in September 2018, the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik AG. Display Technology delivers displays, touch screens and embedded computing backed by customer service at every stage of the process, from initial consultation through to sample design, volume manufacturing and immediate response, after sales support.

The company operates across all embedded computing market sectors, including industrial instrumentation and control, transportation, retail/point of sale, outdoor signage, medical, marine, audio and lighting control and energy management.
