Durable SMD tactile switches have low profile for miniaturised applications

EVP-BT series switches by Panasonic Industry have a compact design and short travel distance for “extremely quick” output. The thin type SMD tactile switches have a low profile height of only 4.3mm, a sharp tactile feel, a low contact resistance as well as only a small bounce noise, continued the company.

EVP-BT series switches are reliable, with an operating life of up to two million cycles. A range of variations is available, including J-bent and straight terminal types with a total of 28 part numbers, to accommodate different push forces and vibration specs.

Being able to offer the company’s switch technology with an additional profile height and straight terminals enables them to serve an even wider range of applications – such as smart home, energy, home or medical appliances, commented Panasonic Industry Europe’s head of product management, HMI and connectivity, Markus Lehmann.

Panasonic Group develops technologies for wide-ranging applications in the consumer electronics, housing, automotive, industry, communications and energy sectors worldwide.
