Elastomeric connector series has low electrical resistance
Elastomeric connectors from Fujipoly, the Zebra Gold 8000A, transfers both data and power between parallel components and circuit boards. The connector exhibits a low electrical resistance of less than 25mOhm.
According to Fujipoly, the interconnect component is constructed from a low durometer silicone core that is wrapped with 100 parallel rows of flat, gold-plated copper wires per inch. The construction allows the connector to accommodate PCBs with pad centre spacing down to 0.25mm. Additionally, each 0.050 x 0.127mm gold-plated element can deliver a current carrying capacity of 500mA.
Fujipoly’s Zebra Gold Series 8000A is suitable for many board-to-board electronic packaging application with tight pad spacing and board separation tolerances. The connector can be specified in custom lengths from 0.20 to 6.0-inch (5.0 to 152mm) and heights ranging from 0.1 to 0.5-inch (2.54 to 12mm).
Fujipoly America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Polymer Industries. The ISO9001:2008 registered company specialises in the fabrication of silicone rubber technology. It is a leader in the areas of Zebra elastomeric connectors, Sarcon thermal interface materials, fusible tapes, and custom silicone rubber extrusions.
