Farnell adds Sorensen power supplies
DC programmable, benchtop, linear and modular power supplies by Sorensen are now available via distributor, Farnell.
The Ametek brand DC programmable power supplies range from Sorensen includes benchtop, modular and rack-mounted industrial power subsystems, including DC programmable, DC linear, DC benchtop and DC modular power supplies. Each offers outputs from 30W to 150kW, output voltages range from 5V to 1,000V and output currents from 1A to 8,000A.
Sorensen designs and manufactures precision, programmable power supplies for research and design, test and measurement, process control, power bus simulation and power conditioning applications.
Highlights of the Ametek range include the DLM600 375 to 600W half rack programmable DC power supply series. This provides a highly stable, continuously variable output voltage and current for a range of applications. Features include remote control, analogue programming, LXI-compliant Ethernet LAN / RS-232C, IEEE-488.2 / RS-232C.
There is also the DCS 1.0 to 3kW general purpose power supply series. This uses packaging techniques to achieve continuous full output power. The supplies can be controlled remotely with high programming resolution and include an Ethernet interface, constant voltage and current mode, remote sensing, analogue control and monitoring.
Farnell also offers the XG 1,500 to 1,700W 1U programmable DC power supply series. According to Farnell this offers industry-leading power density for test, production, lab, OEM and quality assurance applications. The XG series features standard digital and isolated analogue interfaces, universal AC input with power factor correction, built-in sequencing, programmable fold-back protection delay and a sleep mode.
