Farnell distinguishes itself with digital T&M software portfolio
Farnell claimed it is the only high service distributor offering digital delivery for test and measurement customers buying products from NI, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz and Tektronix. These four companies have partnered with Farnell to launch the initiative which enables customers to secure software licenses, upgrades and application solutions from Farnell’s website following purchase.
According to Farnell, the service is simple to access, sustainable – as no postage and paperwork are involved – and will save customers time and money when prototyping, designing, and testing new products.
James McGregor, global head of test, tools and production supplies at Farnell said: “We are constantly seeking smarter and easier ways to help our customers design, test and analyse with products from our T&M portfolio. We can now directly supply our customers with the critical hardware and software solutions they need, eliminating the need for a customer having to contact suppliers individually after purchase.”
The software support bundles now available from Farnell include NITest Workflow – including LabVIEW. This contains all the components required for day-to-day work and is available in two editions dependent on application requirements. Its key features include LabVIEW, TestStand, DIAdem, FlexLogger.
For Tektronix oscilloscopes, from TBS1000C to TBS60000B, there is TekScope PC analysis software which provides the capability of an oscilloscope on a PC allowing the analysis of waveforms anywhere, any time.
Keysight’s PathWave BenchVue software provides access to a wide array of instrument control, automation and analysis apps. They have different capabilities to enhance productivity and vary based on the functionality of the types of instruments, apps, and models that are connected to PC running BenchVue software. All instrument control apps such as BenchVue Fieldfox handheld analyser apps allow engineers to easily control and build custom automated sequences using BenchVue Test Flow.
The Rohde & Schwarz Campus Dashboard oscilloscope software simplifies teaching routines in large student laboratories with multiple workbenches. It can control up to 300 individual test and measurement instruments from one workplace.
