Farnell signs partnership with Mean Well
Distributor Farnell has announced a direct partnership with power supply manufacturer, Mean Well. According to the Farnell, the collaboration will allow it to deliver an extensive range of power supply solutions to customers, designed to meet specific needs.
Mean Well offers a range of efficient power supplies, suitable for various industries, including industrial automation, telecommunications, medical equipment and LED lighting.
The company’s range, which includes DC/DC converters, AC/DC converters, DIN rail mount converters, enclosed output converters and LED drivers, will be available via the distributor.
The most popular product families include the SLD-150 series of slim and low profile LED drivers, suitable for signage and decoration lighting applications. They are housed in a Class II/2 (plastic housing) and feature an insulated design, as well as SELV and isolated circuit design for additional safety. The SLD series is available in 12V/24V and 56V output models and has a wide adjustable range current and constant power design.
There is also the HDR-30 series. These are economical, slim 15 to 36W DIN power supplies housed in a body which is 35mm wide to allow for space saving inside cabinets. They can be used for household applications and the plastic housing is designed to prevent electric hazards, said Farnell.
Another highlight is the IRM-20 series which has a universal input range of 86 to 305V AC, a compact PCB board size, Class B and Class II compliance, full potting for vibration resistance, and is described as “high efficiency with remarkably low no load consumption”.
