Fischer Elektronik extends enclosure designs with covers and straps
To meet the wide range of applications that electronic cases are expected to serve, Fischer Elektronik has introduced cover plates with fixing straps for cases in the AKG, GD and TUF series.
According to the company, electronic cases must meet both design and functional requirements. Fischer Elektronik extends the AKG, GD and TUF case ranges to include additional designs with cover panels and integrated fixing straps.
Cases in the three families are designed to accommodate standard Eurocards and non-standard PCBs. Fixing straps for the cover panels have special recesses for fixing screws, providing table, wall or ceiling mounting options for the AKG, GD and TUF cases. They are also suitable in environments with vibration disturbances, added Fischer Elektronik. The mounting brackets are integrated on the long side of the cover panels and allow the cases to be mounted horizontally. For vertical case mounting, the straps can also be attached to the narrow side.
The new cover panels with integrated fixing straps have the same hole spacing for fixing points as existing standard designs from Fischer Elektronik. As a result, cover plates can be used as replacement or optional cover panels not only for new projects but also for existing customised case assemblies. To blend in with the standard case surfaces of the AKG, GD and TUF series cases, the cover panels with fixing straps are available in natural-colour and black anodised surfaces.
For customers who need something other than the standard designs for fixing straps, the width of the lug, the size and positions of the recesses for the screws can be customised according to customer specifications. Customised machining, inscriptions and other surface finishes are offered on request.
