Four AC/DC supplies get their teeth into medical applications
Four high-density AC/DC power supplies have been added to the medical product family by CUI. The VMS-450B, VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS and VMS-450B-CNF offer 450W of continuous power from compact chassis mount packages. The AC/DC supplies have been designed for space-constrained medical and dental applications where reliability and regulatory compliance are major concerns, says CUI.
The VMS-450B, VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS, and VMS-450B-CNF comply with the medical 60601-1 edition 3.1 safety standards for 2 x MOPP (means of patient protection) applications and 4th edition EMC requirements. The internal medical power supplies offer 5V DC aux output, power factor correction as well as over- temperature, over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection.
The VMS-450B series is supplied in an industry standard 3.0 x 5.0 inch (75 x 125mm) footprint and an open frame package. It is intended for use in applications with little space and heat management outside of the unit. The VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS, and VMS-450B-CNF are supplied in a metal case and are available with the following fan configurations: VMS-450B-CF (top fan), VMS-450B-CFS (side fan), VMS-450B-CNF (no fan) and VMS-450B (open frame).
The VMS-450B, VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS, and VMS-450B-CNF are available immediately.
