Get in line for IoT/IIoT enclosures
Designers can specify Smart-Panel enclosures for IoT and industrial IoT (IIoT) electronics, says OKW. The elegant, robust enclosures are quick to install and can also fit cavity wall boxes.
The Smart-Panel enclosures are designed for intelligent building control and monitoring applications for use in a wide range of industrial, commercial and residential applications. They include IoT and IIoT, building services systems, electrical installations, wireless communications, measuring and control, security and access control, smart home, medical and laboratory technology projects.
Installation is simplified with a top that simply snaps into place – there are no visible fixing screws. The enclosure can be re-opened using a set of push-in opening tools, available as an accessory. The large, recessed top can accommodate LEDs, displays or a membrane keypad to customise the enclosure for a specific application. A touchscreen can also be fitted.
The bottom section fits standard flush-mounted / cavity wall boxes with a maximum opening of 61mm and larger international installation boxes measuring up to 150mm high and 61mm wide.
Electronic components are mounted in the top of the Smart-Panel enclosure. A snap-in hardboard plate, available as an accessory, protects the underlying electronics from the risk of damage during installation and maintenance.
The Smart-Panel enclosure is 21.3mm deep and available in two plan sizes: 84 x 84mm and 155 x 84mm. The enclosures are moulded from tough and UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) with a highly polished bottom section and a fine-textured top. The standard colour is traffic white (RAL 9016).
Other accessories include a glass panel for touchscreens and displays, The panel can be printed on the rear. Anti-slide feet are available for desktop use.
