Greenray’s TCXOs withstand shock and vibration says Euroquartz

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz, has introduced a range of radiation-tolerant, temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXO) from Greenray Industries that offer “excellent performance” in high shock and vibration environments.

Housed in a rugged, radiation tolerant, stainless steel and nickel-plated package, the T1276 TCXOs offer frequencies between 2.5 and 120MHz over a wide temperature range of -55 to +125 degrees C. Low acceleration sensitivity is less than 0.07ppb/g making the oscillators suitable for use in a range of applications including high orbit transponders, low orbit nano / micro satellites, RF telemetry systems, multi-band terminals and upconverters.

The 24-pin DIP package measures 20.3 x 12.7 x 8.9mm and offers protection from total ionising doses up to 200krad (Si). Specifications also include SEL and SET free to 100MeV cm²/mg, choice of 3.3 and 5.0V DC power supply requirement and CMOS or sinewave output.

Frequency stability ranges from ±0.3ppm over 0 to 50 degrees C to ±7ppm over the full operating temperature range. Ageing is ±1ppm in first year and ±3ppm over 10 years. Typical phase noise performance ranges from -90dBc/Hz at 10Hz frequency offset to -160dBc/Hz at 1MHz frequency offset.

The T1276 TCXO range complements the existing T1254 product line and can be supplied with MIL-PRF-55310 Level B or S screening.

Euroquartz is an independent UK-based manufacturer and supplier of quartz crystals, oscillators, filters and frequency-related products to the electronics manufacturing industry worldwide.
