HCMOS-based clock oscillators have tight stability, says IQD

Low frequency stability HCMOS based clock oscillators from IQD, the IQXO-923 series, are available with a frequency stability of only ±5ppm over the industrial operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C.

The clock oscillators are available in either a voltage of 1.8V (IQXO-923-18) or 3.3V (IQXO-923-33). The clock oscillators are housed in an hermetically sealed 3.2 x 2.5 x 1.1mm ceramic package.

Frequencies can be specified in the range 10 to 160MHz and offer a start-up time of 5ms. With a phase jitter (12kHz to 20MHz) of 0.4ps typical and a phase noise of -99dBc/Hz at 100Hz and -144dBc/Hz at 10kHz the oscillators can be specified for use in designs where a clock oscillator can be used in place of an expensive TCXO. Example applications include Ethernet, networking, smart meters, SONET, test and measurement, WLAN and Wi-Fi.

The IQXO-923 includes an enable and disable function on pin one as standard and packaging options are either tape and reel or cut tape.

IQD has over 40 years’ experience in the manufacture of frequency products. It is part of the Würth Elektronik eiSos group, one of the leading European manufacturers of passive components.

Würth Elektronik eiSos Group manufactures electronic and electromechanical components for the electronics industry and currently employs 8,300 staff. It has production sites in Europe, Asia and North America.
