High voltage double chokes are shielded and isolated
Optimised for surface mount assembly, the WE-TDC HV double choke is available from Würth Elektronik eiSos.
The magnetically shielded 1:1 transformer has an isolation voltage of 2,000V. There are nine models in the WE-TDC HV family, five in a 8038 package and four in 8018. The height is just 1.8mm.
WE-TDC HV chokes are specified for the extended operating temperature from -40 to +125 degrees C and have a functional isolation for a working voltage of 250V RMS. They are suitable for use in switching controllers with a second, unregulated output voltage, in buck, boost, sepic, zeta, and CUK converters, as well as in isolated converter applications with high packaging density (for example, flyback converters).
The components are packaged in 16mm tapes and available from stock.
