HMI/machine controller enclosure are minimalist but variable
Human machine interface (HMI)/machine controller enclosures are now available from Rolec in standard sizes.
The profiPanel Standard is a minimalist, multi-variable enclosure for modern machine control, says the company. They are available in four standard sizes.
The IP 65-rated profiPanel Standard’s minimalist, variable design makes it suitable for use in a range of machine control applications. It can be mounted from the top or bottom on Rolec’s profiPlus 50 suspension arm system.
The original profiPanel model is a cost-effective enclosure says the company, the new standard version offers even greater savings by offering four standard sizes based on a 90mm profile. Lead times are reduced because all the components are held in stock. The standard format is also suitable for smaller volume orders.
Rolec profiPanel has an individually configurable front plate which can accommodate a panel PC up to 21 inches (533mm). The 3.0mm aluminium front plate is permanently connected to the enclosure with flush and virtually edgeless mounting. Each case features a lock and exterior hinge as standard.
Each enclosure is manufactured from extruded aluminium (silver anodised) with light grey (RAL 7035) polyamide corner covers. Slide-in contours for M4/M5 nuts allow easy mounting of equipment.
The four standard plan sizes are 400 x 400 mm, 520 x 400 mm, 520 x 520 mm and 600 x 520 mm.
There are four easy specification steps, explains Rolec. The first is to select the enclosure dimensions based on the planned internal mounting; then define the machining of the front plate; thirdly, define the position of the suspension arm fixing and finally select an optional handle.
Customising options include CNC machining, bespoke colours, printing and engraving of legends and logos, EMC shielding, membrane keypads and full assembly.
