Intelliconnect adds semi-rigid cable option to solderless connector range
For faster assembly time and on-site cable routing, Intelliconnect (Europe) has extended its range of solderless, field-replaceable connectors to include a version for 0.047-inch semi-rigid cables. When assembled, semi-rigid cables can be factory- formed or routed in-situ, as required by the application, explains the company.
Typical applications include civil and military telecommunications, civil and military aeronautics, military equipment, space and measurement systems.
The Intelliconnect clamp connector series is a convenient alternative for terminating semi-rigid cable with no loss in performance or reliability. The company also offers solderless attachment connectors for 0.085 and.0.141-inch cables.
The stainless-steel 0.047-inch, 2.9mm and SMA connectors are characterised by a field replaceable capability, guaranteed equivalent performance to solder connection, no special tooling required and cable retention force similar to soldered versions.
They offer system designers faster assembly time and repeatability and also provide field-replaceable connectivity in the event of wear or damage to the connector.
Intelliconnect (Europe) manufactures a wide range of standard and custom RF connectors and components, including waterproof and fast turnaround custom designs which are undertaken without NRE charges. Intelliconnect also manufactures a large range of coaxial adapters for inter-series connection and gender change.
In addition to custom cable assemblies Intelliconnect offers a range of cryogenic cables and components work to 2K (-271.15 degrees C) for quantum computing, test and measurement, instrumentation, medical and material research and cryogenic systems including dilution refrigerators, superconducting magnet systems, low temperature detector systems, infrared array systems.
