MEMS microphones have wide frequency range and high sensitivity

Three MEMS microphones by CUI Devices’ Audio Group have wide frequency ranges from 20 to 20,000Hz. The CMM-2718AB-38162W-TR, CMM-2718AB-38164W-TR and CMM-2718AT-38164W-TR are all analogue MEMS microphones featuring -38dB sensitivity ratings and tight sensitivity tolerances of ±1dB.

The company offers top or bottom port versions. All three MEMS microphones are housed in compact, surface mount packages. Minimum dimensions are 2.75 x 1.85 x 0.90mm, making them ideal for a variety of portable electronic devices and wearables.

The MEMS microphones carry acoustic overload points (AOP) of 123 or 128dB SPL, signal to noise ratios of 62 or 64dBA and current consumption as low as 150 microA. All models are omni-directional and compatible with the reflow solder process.

The CMM-2718AB-38162W-TR, CMM-2718AB-38164W-TR and CMM-2718AT-38164W-TR are available immediately from stock with lead times of around 10 weeks.

Typical applications are in smart phones, wearables, smart home devices and a range of portable electronic devices, said CUI Devices.
CUI Devices is an electronic components manufacturer established in 1989 just outside Portland, Oregon, USA. The company specialises in a range of product technologies, including audio, interconnect, motion, relays, sensors, switches, and thermal management solutions.
