Mil-COTS VPS power supplies comply to VITA 62 

VITA 62 compliant power supplies by Vicor Power Systems, are designed for 3U Open VPX systems. They achieve high-efficiency and high-power density in a rugged, conduction-cooled chassis, says the company.

VITA 62, or the Power supply front end for high voltage/three-phase 3U module, standard is for power supply front end specifies the requirements for building a high oltage, three-phased, 3U class front end power supply module to power a VPX chassis. The module is designed to fit within the standard defined for VPX moudles in the VITA 48.0 standards.

The initial products operate from a nominal 28 or 270V DC input, with pre-defined output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 12V, delivering up to 600W of power. For applications or projects that require different output voltages or power levels can request a customised power supply to meet specifications.

The family has been tested and will meet MIL-461F and MIL-704F.  The 28V input version also meets MIL-1275D.
