Molex signs Wesco | Anixter to distribute industrial portfolio

Molex has signed a distribution agreement with Wesco | Anixter. It will enable Molex to broaden the availability of its industrial products in North America and Europe through the partnership with the design, logistics and distribution company.

Molex will offer its industrial electrical, communication and connectivity product lines, and industrial automation products through Anixter’s North American and European distribution networks. Through this collaboration, Molex says it will drive progress in the development of fourth generation manufacturing, serving machine builders, robot manufacturers and electrical infrastructure engineers.

“We are excited to join forces with Wesco | Anixter, which became one of the world’s largest global distributors following its 2020 merger,” said Fred Bell, Molex’s vice president of global distribution. “Molex Industrial has an extensive offering of ruggedly designed, engineered, and constructed infrastructure solutions for harsh-duty environments. Together with Wesco and Anixter’s global network of industrial expertise and logistics capabilities, we will accelerate time to market for our mutual customers in markets such as material handling, robotics and machine building, automotive infrastructure, and food and beverage. We look forward to the opportunities that this new relationship will bring for both Molex and our customers.”

For Brandon Phillips, vice president, category management, at Wesco | Anixter, the agreement is also beneficial to implementing the next generation of industrial solutions.
“We’re looking forward to growing our partnership with Molex. This global expansion of Molex’s industrial solutions will allow us to better focus our efforts in this digital transformation era and continue our joint market leadership,” he said.

Molex specialises in interconnection technology and says it makes a connected world possible by enabling technology that transforms the future and improves lives. It has a presence in more than 40 countries, and offers a full range of connectivity products, services and solutions for markets that include data communications, industrial, medical, automotive and consumer electronics.
