Mouser Electronics signs global agreement with CML Microcircuits

Distributor, Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with telecomms specialist, CML Microcircuits.

Mouser now offers CML Microcircuits’ CMX901 and CMX902 devices. These are three-stage wideband, high-gain and high-efficiency RF power amplifier ICs. They have a high power gain up to 40dB and up to 60 per cent power efficiency and are therefore suitable for VHF and low UHF radio applications, such as data modules, marine VHF communications, and RF transmitters. They are also suitable for use in wireless-based industrial IoT systems.

The company also offers the CMX994 direct conversion receiver with PowerTrade to dynamically select power consumption versus performance modes to optimise operating trade-offs. The CMX994A and CMX994E models have extended operation of 50 to 1218MHz and the CMX994G offers guaranteed down-converter performance to 30MHz.

Wireless packet data modems available from Mouser include the CMX7164. This multi-mode wireless data modem supports multiple modulation schemes and coding systems, all configurable under host control with no external codecs or DSP processing required. Adaptive Coded Modulation (ACM) features allow modulation type and block format to be changed on the fly to dynamically select the data block size, coding rate and CRC size. The modem uses CML’s FirmASIC component technology for custom modulation schemes.

Mouser also offers CML’s SCT2400 integrated digital radio transceiver based on spread spectrum modulation operating in the 2.4GHz ISM frequency range. The transceiver is capable of operation over line of sight distances of up to 12km with up to 100mW of output power and can maintain link clarity and security in low-power radio systems. The low power consumption and security features make it suitable for portable, mobile, and wearable products such as fitness trackers, smart clothing, and wireless headsets, advises Mouser.

Mouser claims to stock the world’s widest selection of the latest semiconductors and electronic components for the newest design projects. Its website is continually updated and offers advanced search methods to help customers quickly locate inventory.
