Multi-layer ceramic inductors save space, says Würth Elektronik
Cost-effective RF coils, integrated in a multi-layer ceramic structure make up the WE-MK range of surface mount inductors by Würth Elektronik. The inductors have high self-resonant frequency (up to fRES above 10GHz). The WE-MK series is available in three sizes, namely 0201, 0402 and 0603 and are inductors are available in various inductance values from 1.0 to 470nH.
The WE-MK inductors have very stable inductance over the entire operating temperature range from -55 to +125 degrees C with inductance tolerances of ±5.0 or ±0.3 nH (depending on inductance value, higher inductance values are percentage based). The inductance is suitable for high-frequency circuit types and is the preferred component for the matching of antennae, for example, says Würth Elektronik. The company also offers an antenna matching service.
The WE-MK components have polarity markings. This information allows a reduction in the mutual coupling between inductors placed close together.
