Murata X1 capacitor is rated for high voltage industrial applications

Murata has announced the DE1 Type RB series of X1 class, leaded ceramic safety capacitors. Suitable for use in high voltage industrial applications, such as three-phase power supplies or inverters driving three-phase motors, the series is rated at 760V AC (RMS) for X1 class use.

The DE1 complies with international standards IEC 60384-14, UL60384-14 and EN60384-14 for X1 / Y1 class capacitors used in EMI suppression circuits. It is compact to reduce overall space requirements. It is also rated with a high maximum operating temperature of 125 degrees C, enabling it to be placed close to the source of the electromagnetic noise.

The DE1 series can also be used as a Y1 class capacitor for connecting between an AC power line and ground, for which it is rated at 500V AC (RMS).

Available in standard values from 10 to 4,700pF, the DE1 series has value-dependent dimensions from 6.0 to 14.0mm outer diameter.

Murata is a manufacturer of electronic components, modules, and devices. The company’s range includes ceramic capacitors, resistors/thermistors, inductors/chokes, timing devices, buzzers, sensors and EMI suppression filters.

The ceramic capacitor manufacturer is also a leader in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, board-mount DC/DC converters and is a manufacturer of standard and custom AC/DC power supplies.
