New Yorker adds Cornell Dubilier X2 class suppressor capacitors

The Cornell Dubilier Electronics range of MXH EMI suppression capacitors are now available from New Yorker Electronics. They double the industry standard for EMI suppression, passing 2,000 hours TBH (temperature, humidity at bias) test, said the distributor.

The MXH series of X2, EMI/RFI suppression capacitors are designed for harsh environments. They meet AEC-Q200 and are therefore suitable for motors, automated meter readers (AMRs), uninterrruptible power supplies (UPS), power supplies, charging systems and appliances. The X2, across-the-line capacitors filter out electromagnetic noise and have international safety agency approvals.

The 2,000-hour THB test conducted at 85 degrees C, 85 per cent relative humidity at rated voltage, subjected these components to twice the industry standard test hours required to meet IEC 60834, Class III-B for THB. The MXH capacitor series also passed the rigours of AEC-Q200 automotive testing. Tests include mechanical shock and vibration, thermal cycling, solvent resistance and solderability which qualify the series for use in demanding industrial, automotive and consumer applications.

Capacitance values range from 0.1 to 15 microF in 34 standard values, at 305V AC, 50/60Hz. Operating temperature range is -40 to +110 degrees C. The series possesses multiple agency approvals including UL, CSA, VDE, for safety and performance in X2, across-the-line applications.

New Yorker Electronics is a franchised distributor and sells all of the Cornell Dubilier Electronics product lines which include aluminium electrolytic capacitors, AC oil filled capacitors, DC oil filled capacitors, film capacitors, MICA capacitors, ultracapacitors, surface mount capacitors, aluminium polymer capacitors and supercapacitors.

Headquartered in Northvale, New Jersey, USA, New Yorker Electronics is a global franchised distributor of electronic components, value-added services and supply chain solutions to OEMs and contract manufacturers in various markets.

Founded in 1948, the AS9120B and ISO 9001:2015 -certified company provides direct franchise access to an extensive ready-to-ship inventory of passive, inter-connect, electromechanical and Mil-Spec components, as well as semiconductor devices.
