New Yorker Electronics signs expanded XMPL polymer chip capacitor range
Cornell Dubilier has expanded its XMPL polymer chip capacitor range to offer capacitance values of 6.8 to 470 microF with a maximum working voltage of 35V DC. The XMPL range is available from New Yorker Electronics.
The XMPL polymer chip capacitor series has been expanded to match applications with higher voltage and capacitance requirements. According to New Yorker Electronics, their capacitance and voltage stability ratings, with temperature and frequency, make these conductive polymer capacitors suitable for applications where bulk storage and high ripple current filtering are needed.
Possessing much lower ESR and a shorter height profile than SMT aluminium electrolytics, XMPLs offer designers the opportunity to reduce the size and cost of high frequency / high ripple applications by using fewer components.
Enhancements mean that standard capacitance values now range from 6.8 to 470 microF, with a maximum working voltage of 35V DC for the capacitors which are supplied in a moulded package measuring 7.3 x 4.3 x 1.9mm.
Operating temperature is -55 to +105 degrees C with a load life of 2,000 hours at 105 degrees C with rated voltage applied.
XMPL polymer chip capacitors are also halogen-free and RoHS-compliant.
Target applications include high frequency compact power supplies, DC/DC converters, solid state devices, high frequency switch mode power supplies, LED lighting, industrial instrumentation, computer peripherals and automation.
