New Yorker Electronics signs Taitien for quartz control range

Distributor, New Yorker Electronics has signed a distribution deal with quartz frequency control manufacturer, Taitien, expanding its quartz frequency control component range.

Taitien was founded in 1976 and manufactures a range of frequency control products, namely quartz crystals, clock oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs, OCXOs and precision crystals. Taitien operates its wholly-owned production facilities, and engineering centres, in Taiwan, China and the United States.

Quartz has become an important component used in various electronic devices due to its physical characteristics of low temperature co-efficient and high Q value. Taitien is one of the few manufacturers with its own in-house wafer cutting technology. By vertically integrating the production of upstream quartz wafers, wafers’ angles and thicknesses are cut precisely so as to control the material source and quality, said the company.

Taitien provides miniature, low-power consumption, high-precision and wide-temperature quartz crystals to satisfy its customers’ diversified needs for quartz components. The company’s products are used across a wide range of applications, including networking equipment, industrial automation, avionics, satellite base stations, industrial automation machines and wireless devices.

The manufacturer focuses on innovation and invests heavily in research and development, holding many patents for quartz-manufacturing technologies, said New Yorker Electronics.

As a franchised distributor, New Yorker Electronics will distribute its complete line of oscillators, as well as quartz crystals, timing modules and mini ovens.

Commenting on the signing, Barry Slivka, president of New Yorker Electronics, said, that it means more complete solutions for customers working in the automotive, consumer electronics, information technology and telecommunications fields. “And with Taitien’s operations in the United States, Europe and Asia, the partnership will generate many cost-saving opportunities as well,” he added.

“Jordan Wohl, North American sales manager for Taitien, said: “New Yorker Electronics’ customers will also benefit from our significant investments in R&D, which enable us to be first to market with many of today’s best-in-class performance frequency products.”

Headquartered in Northvale, New Jersey, USA, New Yorker Electronics is a global franchised distributor of electronic components, value-added services, and supply chain solutions to OEMs and contract manufacturers in various markets.

Founded in 1948, the AS9120B and ISO 9001:2015 certified company provides direct franchise access to an extensive ready-to-ship inventory of passive, inter-connect, electromechanical and Mil-Spec components, as well as semiconductor devices.
