Nexperia extends bipolar junction transistors available in DPAKs
Nine bipolar junction transistors in DPAK-package have been added to the range available from Nexperia. The new parts mean that the MJD series cover 2.0 to 8.0A and 45 to 100V.
The power bipolar transistors are available in what Nexperia describes as the thermally and electrically advantageous DPAK package. They new members of the MJD series parts are pin-to-pin compatible with other MJD devices in the DPAK package and are available as automotive-qualified AEC-Q101 devices and industrial grade parts.
The nine additions are the MJD2873/-Q (2.0A 50V), the MJD31CH-Q (2.0A 50V), the MJD148/-Q (4.0 45V), the MJD41C /-Q and MJD42C /-Q (both 6.0A 100V) and the MJD31CH-Q which is designed as high gain version.
All parts are claimed to offer class-leading DPAK package reliability with an industry-standard footprint. The bipolar transistors suit a wide range of applications such as LED automotive lighting, backlight dimming in LCD displays, linear voltage regulators, relay replacement, motor drives and MOSFET drivers.
