Notebook computers are rugged for industrial use

WeRock’s compact Rockbook X550 G2 and X540 rugged notebooks feature the 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor and designed for mobile computing in a variety of locations.

In addition to the Intel Core processors (up to i7) there is up to 32Gbyte of RAM and the notebooks are capable of the new Wi-Fi 6 WLAN standard. The Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 laptops have a range of communications features, including options for LTE and 5G (expected in winter 2022). The notebooks can be used with all major GPS navigation systems, have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and also offer numerous interfaces such as three USB 3 ports, HDMI and a serial port.

They run the latest Windows 11 Pro and 11th generation Intel Core UP3-Series processors (i5 and i7) along with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and up to 32Gbyte of DDR4 memory. They are designed for a range of data- and/or graphics-intensive scenarios, said WeRock, while at the same time being economical in power consumption. Both have expansion options, for example the NVMe main memory is available in various configurations up to 1Tbyte, a hard drive slot enables the expansion by another 5Tbyte of storage capacity, and flexible data transfer is possible via the SDXC card slot.

The bright (700 nits) 14 or 15.6 inch full-HD displays ensure display legibility at night and in bright sunlight. The notebooks are also available with a glove-operated touchscreen. The Rockbook X540 and Rockbook X550 G2 also offer the latest physical security and data protection features. There is a discrete TPM 2.0 module, optional self-encrypting hard drives, and integrated device protection technology with boot guard. A fingerprint sensor is included for secure logins via Windows Hello, while the integrated Kensington Lock slot protects the workstation against theft.

The Rockbook X540 and Rockbook X550 G2 are light and compact for their class, weighing just 2.85 and 3.3 kg, respectively. Thanks to the integrated carrying handles, the devices are very comfortable even during transport. They come with two batteries: a 46.6Wh hot swap battery as well as an additional fixed 14.8Wh battery. The notebooks remain fully functional during battery replacement.

The notebooks are IP65 dust and water resistant, meet military standards (MIL-STD-810G) for temperature, humidity and vibration and are 26-side tested for drops from 1,220mm. They are also suitable for use within extreme temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees C.
