ODU extends MAC Blue-Line with six-contact HV connector

Protection of the user was at the forefront of development for the new six-contact high voltage (HV) connector module by ODU. It combines a compact size with up to 1500V can be transmitted per contact which means it only needs a small space requirement of only two units for six contacts.

User protection is guaranteed by the contact protection on the socket side, said ODU. A flexible termination cross-section of 0.14 to 1.5mm² offers variability and is claimed to allow an optimal match to the respective strand. The module qualifies for use in medical applications, such as aesthetic lasers. It is also suitable for battery tests to the mass interconnect interface.

The module is flexible for design purposes, said the company. Integration into the white ODU-MAC Push-Lock housing, for example, creates a handy, hybrid connector for high voltage transmission.

ODU will exhibit the connectors at Compamed in Düsseldorf, Germany, 13 to 16 November, Hall 8A- P19.
