PNY announces portable SSDs that exceed HDD transfer rates
Designed to provide mobile storage with increased capacity compared with traditional USB 3.2 flash drives, the EliteX-Pro USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 portable SSD (solid state device) is available from PNY Technologies.
Its transfer speeds are up to 12x faster than external HDDs (hard disk drives), allowing users to do more in less time, said the company. Performance is up to 1,600Mbyte per second sequence read and 1,500Mbyte per second sequence write, allowing for fast transfer and storage of files on the go. The EliteX-Pro is available in 500Gbyte, 1Tbyte, 2Tbyte and 4Tbyte capacities.
The portable SSD is designed to fit comfortably into the palm of a hand. It is a durable aluminium housing. Acronis True Image data protection software is included to protect data which can be accessed any time, anywhere, from an array of host devices with the included USB Type-C to C cable and a USB Type-C to A cable.
The PNY EliteX-PRO is available for pre-ordering.
