Portwell bases ROBO-811VG2AR on Intel Xeon E processor
Industrial PC and embedded computing company, Portwell, has based its latest single host board (SHB) computer, the ROBO-8114VG2AR, on the latest Intel Xeon E family of processors.
The PICMG 1.3 full size SHB computer is aimed at customers seeking an embedded desktop system with high computing power and flexible expansion capabilities in industrial automation and control systems, medical/healthcare imaging systems, automated test equipment, digital signage, digital security surveillance, broadcasting systems, transportation and storage systems.
In addition to the Intel Xeon E processors which offer up to 3.6GHz (35 to 95W) in an LGA 1151 socket, there is the Intel C246 chipset or Intel 8th/9th Generation Core i3/i5/i7 /Pentium/Celeron with Q370 chipset. The SHB supports for Intel Turbo Boost, hyper-threading, virtualisation, thermal monitoring, Trusted Execution (TXT) and Speed Step technology (depending on the processor SKU). It also delivers up to 128Gbyte dual-channel ECC/non-ECC DDR4 2133 SO-DIMM on four sockets and has flexible PCI Express Gen 3 (up to 8.0 GTerabytes per second) from CPU and one PCIe x16 or two PCIe x8 or one PCIe x8 and two PCIe x4 adjusted by jumper setting.
The Intel Gen 9 graphic engine provides 3D multimedia performance and supports DirectX 12, OpenCL 2.0 and Open GL 4.5. It also supports multiple independent displays such as HDMI (4K resolution), DVI-D (up to 1920×1200) and VGA (up to 1920×1200). Users can connect with DVI-D and VGA monitors simultaneously, using the DVI-I to DVI-D and VGA Y splitter. The ROBO-8114VG2AR also supports onboard TPM2.0 for application security.
Portwell is an Associate member of the Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance. It designs and manufactures a full range of IPC products (SBC, backplane, redundant power supply, rack mount and node chassis), embedded architecture solutions, DVR system platforms and communications devices. It also provides R&D and project management services to reduce time to market, project risk and cost.
Portwell is also an ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001-certified company.
