Portwell offers its panel PCs with single or multi-touch options

Touch panel PCs by Portwell in the PEPPC series are based on Intel Celeron N3350, Pentium N4200 and Core-i processors.

The PEPPC touch panel PC series is made up of energy-efficient, fan-less panel PCs with scalable configurations and resistive single-touch screen or projective capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch screens. In addition to the Intel processors, they integrate Intel Gen9 Graphics DX 12. Advantages of the fanless design are silent operation, improved reliability, reduced maintenance costs and improves thermal dissipation in harsh environments, said Portwell.

The PCAP touchscreen panel PCs are available in the seven sizes – 10.1, 12.1, 15, 15.6, 17, 18.5 and 21.5 inches. The panel PCs with five wire resistive touchscreen are offered in 8.0, 10.1, 10.4, 12.1, 15, 15.6, 17,18.5, 19 and 21.5 inch sizes.

The panel PCs are suitable for industrial applications depending on mechanics and housing size, with at least two display ports, two Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports (the resistive touchscreen versions have one front USB). The PC can also include up to three RS-232/422/485 and one or two RS-232 ports. One half-size with PCIe x1 and one full-sized mSATA (shared with SATAx) are also included, with the possibility to add connectivity for optional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE functionality via a full-size mini-PCIe socket.

New touch technologies, such as noise immunity for any industrial environment (conducted susceptibility 10Vrm), radiated susceptibility support up to 50V/m, premium water resistance performance and heavy glove support, are implemented on the PEPPC PCAP multi-touch screen panel PCs, addressing the problem that PCAP multi-touch screens face of not operating effectively within an industrial input voltage noise interference environment.

An aluminum front panel frame with 3.0mm temperate glass and an SECC galvanised steel chassis enable the PCs to operate reliably in harsh environments.

The PEPPC series supports a wide power input of 9.0 to 36V DC to meet a range of operating environments. Standard VESA mounting is available on request. The PCs support mainstream operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows 10 IoT and Linux.
