Powell Electronics signs pan-European franchise with P&P Technology
EMC gaskets, honeycomb shielded vents and silicone products by P & P Technology are now available ex-stock in Europe from Powell Electronics.
In addition to EMC solutions, P &P Technology also offers very fast turnaround on custom parts and competitive pricing, says the distributor.
Powell Electronics supplies connectors and products for high-rel applications including defence, aerospace and industrial. It is stocking a broad portfolio of P&P Technology’s EMC products at its warehouse facilities outside Dublin, Eire.
The range includes EMC gaskets which fit all standard connector profiles, honeycomb EMI shielded vents and air filters, and filters produced using oriented wire in silicone rubber that combine environmental protection with effective shielding, says Powell.
“P&P offers one of the most extensive ranges of EMC filtering and shielding products on the market, offering high degrees of attenuation,” said Gary Evans, European managing director at Powell Electronics. He also praised the responsive, service, fast turnaround and short leadtimes, adding that it can be up to 30 per cent more cost-effective that other producers.
Lewis Richmond, sales manager for P & P Technology, said: “Most of our products are custom-fabricated so it is important that we have a distribution partner that is able to provide technical design-in support and be very flexible”.
Powell Electronics is a specialist at high reliability, harsh environment connector design, manufacturing and supply chain. In the USA, Powell has 70,000 square feet of connector manufacturing capabilities at its Swedesboro, New Jersey facility, which is certified to ISO9001 and AS9100.
Powell offers automated engineering solutions and connector ODM services. The company is an authorised, QPL distributor for over 50 military specifications and is ISO9120 certified.
This year, Powell Electronics relocated its European operations to new premises in Dublin, Ireland, employing more technical staff to support design-in activities and signing new franchises agreements with, among others, Glenair, Harwin, Amphenol Aerospace, Quell, AB Connectors, Lemo, Conesys and Positronic. Powell addresses the broad range of demanding connector applications with products that range from miniature PCB-mount devices to high voltage, high current hi-rel solutions.
