Powell stocks up on stocking high-quality connectorised coaxial ferrite isolators and circulators

Powell Electronics, supplier of connectors for high-rel applications including defence, aerospace and industrial, is stocking high quality connectorised coaxial ferrite isolators and circulators for space and defence applications from DiTom Microwave.

The product line includes commercial-off-the-shelf as well as high-reliability ferrite isolators and circulators from 400 MHz up to 43.5 GHz. Main target applications range from telecommunications and test setups to military aerospace and space flight applications. A customised version is also available. In-house testing carried out by DiTom mean products are available at short lead-times.

DiTom’s range of connectorised RF isolators provides narrow and broadband high performance, covering every band from UHF through Q-band. Ultra-low loss and high isolation models are available for every application.

With multiple connector type (N-Type, SMA, K, and 2.4 mm) and gender configurations as well as broad operating temperatures, DiTom isolators suit demanding and customised applications, including 5G, phased array radar, VSAT terminals, satellite communications, test lab equipment and RF chain VSWR optimisation.

Models are available in all the most popular 5G, RADAR, and VSAT bandwidths as well as every other band up to 43.5 GHz. Maximum insertion loss is down to 0.1 dB and minimum isolation is up to 30 dB.

Powell Electronics specialises in high reliability, harsh environment connector design, manufacturing and supply chain. In the USA, Powell has 70,000 square feet of connector manufacturing capabilities at its Swedesboro, NJ facility, which is certified to ISO9001 and AS9100. Powell offers automated engineering solutions and connector ODM services.

The company is an authorised, QPL’ed distributor for more than 50 military specifications and is ISO9120 certified. This year, Powell Electronics relocated its European operations to new premises in Dublin, Ireland, employing more technical staff to support design-in activities and signing new franchises agreements with, among others, Glenair, Harwin, Amphenol Aerospace, Quell, AB Connectors, Lemo, Conesys and Positronic.
