PULS Power creates space with compact DIN-rail mini power supplies
Specialist DIN-rail power supply manufacturer, PULS Power, will add three products to its Piano family. The 24V DC output DIN-rail power supplies are the PIM60 (60W) and PIM90 (90W) with the PIM36 (36W) will be added soon, says the company.
The Piano Mini (PIM) power supplies free-up space in industrial automation, machines or control panels to offer more flexible system planning, explains PULS.
The PIM90 a 90W DIN-rail power supply is in a 36 x 90 x 91mm housing while the width of the 36W version is only 22.5mm, to free up space for system designers, says PULS.
A key design feature of the Piano devices is the high efficiency of 91.8 per cent (PIM60 and PIM90) at full load and +40 degrees C ambient temperature. The low heat losses make the power supplies more durable, extends working life of the supply adn the end system and reduces the cost of system cooling, according to PULS.
The PIM60 and PIM90 have a choice of push-in or screw terminals. The push-in terminals reduce installation time and are very reliable in environments prone to shock and vibration. They are also suited to robot-assisted wiring processes.
The Piano Mini products from PULS cover 36 to 480W. Typical applications include, industrial and process control, building automation, smart buildings and industry 4.0, panel-building, test and measurement, instrumentation and communications systems. Supplies are ruggedised for harsh environments.
PULS claims to be the the only company worldwide that is focused entirely on the development and production of DIN-rail power supplies.
For over 35 years, it has concentrated engineering knowledge, resources and energy to setting standards in terms of efficiency and quality.
