Q-Tech claims space crystal oscillators are industry’s smallest
Space crystal oscillators for satellite and space craft applications and introduced by Q-Tech, are claimed to be the smallest in the industry. The QT723 and QT735 space-qualified crystal oscillators are offered in surface mount packages yet provide the peak performance demanded for low-earth orbit (LEO) deployment, says Q-Tech,
The LEO oscillators are 50kRad(Si) total dose ionisation radiation hardened, high shock (20,000 g) -resistant and screened per MIL-PRF-55310, Level B with PIND.
The 2.5 x 3.2mm QT723 series offers models with user-prescribed 1.500 to 250MHz, tri-state CMOS outputs powered by an input voltage of 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V DC.
The QT735 series, in a slightly larger (3.2 x 5.0mm) package, is offered in CMOS, LVDS and LVPECL versions with input voltages up to 5.0V DC and selectable frequencies from 1.000 to 250MHz.
Engineering models without MIL-PRF screening are available on eight to 10 weeks delivery times and flight models with MIL-PRF screening are available at 12 to 14 weeks delivery.
Q-Tech was founded in 1972 and provides crystal clock oscillators and frequency control solutions for companies with demanding applications. The company manufactures qualified products to MIL-PRF-55310 as well as high reliability standards such as Aerospace Corporation TOR (GPS III) and NASA GSFC specifications, to service the military, aerospace, down-hole and deep space industries.
Q-Tech is certified to the AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
