QM series now includes SA modules for low power output

The QM series of AC/DC modular power supplies from TDK-Lambda now includes

SA modules. The SA modules are available with 5V /15A, 12V /12.5A, 15V /10A and 24V /6.25A outputs and have been added to the series of 550 to 2,000W QM AC/DC modular power supplies.

The patented loop control design uses a digital controller and proprietary algorithms. Phase mode control provides stability across a range of operating conditions to enhance the output response to sudden load changes. A digital controller enables a reduction in component count of 40 per cent.

All models in the QM series feature low acoustic noise and full means of patient protection (MOPP) isolation. With medical and industrial safety certifications, the QM series addresses a medical applications, including BF-rated medical equipment, test and measurement, broadcast, communications and renewable energy applications. The QM series is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives.

TDK is a leading electronics company based in Tokyo, Japan. It was established in 1935 to commercialise ferrite, a key material in electronic and magnetic products. TDK’s portfolio features passive components such as ceramic, aluminium electrolytic and film capacitors, as well as magnetics, high-frequency, and piezo and protection devices. The product spectrum also includes sensors and sensor systems such as temperature and pressure, magnetic, and MEMS sensors. In addition, TDK provides power supplies and energy devices and magnetic heads. Products are marketed under the TDK, Epcos, InvenSense, Micronas, Tronics and TDK-Lambda brands.

TDK-Lambda provides power supplies for industrial equipment worldwide. TDK-Lambda helps customers in research and development through to manufacturing. It has bases in Japan, Europe, America, China, and Asia.
