Radio module can extend to 10km
Würth Elektronik presents the Themisto-I high output power, 915MHz radio module which can attain ranges of up to 10km. According to Würth, this module, used with the WE-ProWare firmware and the software development kit, allows proprietary networks for IIoT/M2M applications to be implemented quickly. It is suitable for American market as it operates in the 915MHz frequency band and has FCC and IC module certification.
The Themisto-I measures 17 x 27 x 3.8mm. It has an RF output power of up to 25dBm. The radio, with the appropriate broadband profiles and increased input sensitivity at the receiver, can increase from 800m to over 10km, says Würth.
Themisto-I is compatible with the company’s Telesto-III low-power version in terms of radio profile, pins and command interface, extending the options for setting up decentralised sensor networks.
The Themisto-I joins Würth Elektronik’s proprietary radio modules, the Telesto-III, the Thebe-II and Tavros-III. The Themisto-I and Telesto-III 915MHz modules are the equivalent of the Thebe-II and Tarvos-III 868MHz modules, reports Würth.
All radio modules are available from stock. Würth Elektronik can deliver the components with customer-specific firmware, on request.
