Recom announces 550W with baseplate cooling for medical equipment
For medical, industrial, information technology equipment (ITE) and household applications, the RACM550-G series from Recom is made up of 550W AC/DC power supplies.
Power supplies support fanless operation with a thermal baseplate design and support up to 300W of continuous output power without cooling fans. The 3.0 x 5.0-inch (76 x 127mm) baseplate-cooled design measures just 1.5-inches (38mm) total height and enables direct heat dissipation through metal housings in the end application.
Up to 550W of peak power with nominal outputs of 24, 36, 48 and 56V are available to drive dynamic loads for several seconds, with forced air depending on model, line input and ambient temperature even continuously, says Recom. A 12V smart fan output is available as standard. There is also a 5.0V/1.0A standby (VSB) output for applications with housekeeping circuits and on/off control. In standby mode, the power supplies consume less than 500mW of power and they deliver up to 5V/400mW output for display functions according to Ecodesign lot 6 needs.
The wide input range of 80 to 264V AC, up to 5000m operating altitude, operating ambient temperatures of -40 to +70 degrees C and international safety agency certifications make the series worldwide-compliant for medical 2MOPP (250V AC), household, industrial and ITE applications.
The RACM550 series is available as an open-frame design or in an enclosed metal housing.
Samples are available from all authorised distributors or directly from Recom.
