Recom creates 2W DC/DC converters for bus isolation
Suitable for a wide range of bus isolation industrial automation control equipment, the R2SX series of compact 2W DC/DC converters has been unveiled by Recom.
The open frame power supplies have a low profile and a compact footprint to save PCB space.
The 2W surface mount isolated DC/DC converter is available with either 3kV DC/one minute isolation (/H version) or 1kV DC/one minute isolation options. The modules are available with 5.0 or 24V inputs and offer a single unregulated 3.3, 5.0, 15, or 24V output and can reach up to 86 per cent efficiency.
Recom adds that there is no minimum load requirement and the efficiency stays high over a wide 20 to 100 per cent load range. The operating temperature is from -40 to +75 degrees C at full load, and up to +100 degrees C with derating.
The R2SX converters are fully certified to IEC/EN/UL62368-1 and are 10/10 RoHS-conform. A simple low cost LC filter is all that is needed for Class B EMC compliance, explains Recom. The R2SX is supplied with a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorised distributors or directly from Recom.
